Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Eureka, California. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a busy emergency department setting. The role requires clinical expertise, flexibility to float within the hospital, and the ability to manage a diverse patient population.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC certifications, 1 year of experience in emergency nursing, ability to work days, and willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, prior ER float experience, and familiarity with trauma level II protocols.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
• Additional Information: Travelers will cover Observation Unit with ER hold patients. The position involves managing complex patient cases such as trauma, stroke, cardiac, and pediatric emergencies. It is a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to perform invasive procedures, interpret diagnostics, and respond swiftly to emergent situations. Candidates must provide two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the past 3 years during the compliance process.
