Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Reno, NV. This position involves providing high-quality patient care for individuals experiencing severe, but usually non-life-threatening issues, including post-stroke care, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory conditions. The role requires delivering comprehensive nursing services in a fast-paced, trauma-focused environment within a 18-bed unit.
Job Details:
- Location: 1155 Mill St, Reno, NV 89502
- Schedule: Days shift, 3x12 hours per week, minimum of 36 hours weekly.
- Required Qualifications: NV RN license required prior to start; Certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience, including medical/neuro ICU preferred. Experience must include vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management. IMCU travelers need to pass an ECG/Telemetry exam involving rhythm strip interpretation; failure will result in contract termination.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro patients, stroke, and intensive care procedures.
- Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float to different areas based on organizational needs, up to their competency level. Shifts may include weekends and holidays. Travelers must be available to work two of the three major holidays (Eve + Day count as one holiday). The environment is extremely busy and fast-paced, serving a large geographic region.
