Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse Iron Mountain, MI. This position involves providing essential emergency nursing care in a level 4 trauma designated facility. The role requires delivering efficient patient assessments and interventions within a busy ER setting, adhering to facility protocols, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Evenings shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Michigan nursing license, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications, at least 2 years of emergency department experience, and BSN not required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working within level 4 trauma centers and familiarity with ER responsibilities such as triage and patient flow management.
- Additional Information:
- The facility has 14 beds with 2 trauma bays, including a designated Fast Track area and two triage rooms.
- ER operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:3-4 during the day, and 1:2 at night after 11 p.m.
- Emergency Physician coverage is 24/7, along with in-house in-house respiratory therapy services available continuously.
- Shifts are scheduled to avoid consecutive 1-on, 1-off assignments, with rotations of variable start times.
- Every other weekend is required; winter holiday coverage is 2 out of 3 days, with other holidays assigned on an alternating basis.
- Floating staff assist with inpatient care as needed, and the dress code is solid color scrubs, cleaned and professional.
- Orientation includes computer-based training, two days of floor orientation, and department-specific policies.
- Clinicians previously employed by Marshfield must have an end date at least six months prior to submission.
- All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
