Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in Brunswick, Georgia. This position involves providing high-acuity step-down care on a telemedicine supportive unit. The role requires managing post-ICU patients, including drips and stable ventilated patients, with the flexibility to float to telemedicine units. The nurse must work independently in a fast-paced environment, adapting to varying patient ratios.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), graduate of an approved nursing program, located within the United States or willing to commute to Georgia, with at least zero years of experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in progressive care or step-down units, proficiency with Cerner charting, ability to float to telemedicine or medical-surgical units, comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Responsibilities: Manage high-acuity patients on a tele-step down unit, including post-ICU care, drips, and ventilator management with stable patients, utilizing clinical judgment and adherence to facility protocols.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Additional Information: The role involves managing 3-4 patients on IMCU and 5-6 patients on Tele-M/S with PCT assistance, with a focus on delivering quality patient care in a high-acuity setting.
