Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) position is available in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves working in a high-acuity acute care setting, providing critical nursing services for patients of all ages. The position requires adherence to facility policies and participation in self-scheduling for shifts, including nights and weekends.

Job Details:

  • Location: Omaha, Nebraska
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, with every third weekend requirement. Shifts available include 7p-7a, 9p-9a, 11p-11a, 1a-1p, 3a-3p, and 7p-7a.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a level 2 trauma setting; familiarity with electronic charting systems, specifically EPIC.
  • Additional Information:
    • 27-bed unit treating all age groups with common diagnoses.
    • Self-scheduling with no shifts guaranteed until schedule finalization.
    • Must pass a skills-based open book exam with a 90% passing threshold during orientation, with all necessary resources provided.
    • Candidates must have a valid drivers license, with distance from the facility verified to be within 50 miles.
    • Prohibited: Artificial nails in patient care areas; candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any affiliated facilities associated with common healthcare organizations such as CHI or Dignity.
    • RTO requests are limited to 7 days or less per 13-week contract, with no additional approvals after submission.
    • Cancellation policy permits up to four shifts cancellation per 13-week assignment from the hospital.
