Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position is based in a healthcare facility located in Fredericksburg, Texas. This role involves providing specialized critical care services on a day shift, supporting patients with complex medical needs. The position requires a dedicated and compassionate professional capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field; active State Registered Nurse license; minimum of 0 years of recent ICU experience with relevant certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as a charge nurse or in a role requiring multitasking and independent decision-making; familiarity with ICU equipment including Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, and GE EKG machines; excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills
• Position Description: Responsible for patient monitoring and care in a unit equipped with advanced monitoring devices and life-support equipment. The role includes adherence to unit policies, management of patient protocols such as STEMI and Stroke, and ensuring quality patient outcomes.
• Additional Information: No floating requirements; uniform is navy blue scrubs; staffing includes a charge nurse and staff RN on day shift; coverage includes weekends every other week with no on-call responsibilities.
