Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation (MS REHAB) nurse in Peoria, Illinois. This position involves working on a post-acute rehabilitation floor, providing care for patients with neurological, trauma, cardiac, and complex medical conditions, including trachs but excluding ventilator-dependent patients. The role emphasizes strong neuro skills, team conferences participation, and adapting to float assignments within the organization.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Illinois licensed registered nurse with at least 1 year of experience, BLS certification through the American Heart Association, and willingness to wait for license submission.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neuro nursing and acute inpatient rehab.
- Float: Float to long-term acute care or medical-surgical units may be required.
- Additional Information: Unit notes specify a 5:1 day ratio, 6:1 night ratio, and the use of EPIC charting system. Orientation includes 2 days of classroom training plus 2-3 shifts with a preceptor, focusing on QRP and rehab documentation.
