Location

• Peoria, Illinois

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation every other holiday

Unit Overview

• Acute rehab unit with 29 beds
• Patient population includes neuro, neurosurgery, amputations, multi-trauma, cardiac, and complex medical patients
• Tracheostomy patients are accepted, but not ventilator patients

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS certification
• Strong neuro skills

Clinical Responsibilities

• RN team conference attendance is required
• Tele packs are used on the unit, but RN monitoring of strips is not required
• Heparin is the only listed titratable or set-rate drip
• Floating is required to LTAC and med-surg; floating to HAU requires prior training

Orientation

• 12 hours of non-billable orientation
• 2 days of class orientation
• 2 to 3 days/nights with a preceptor
• Training includes QRP and rehab documentation

Additional Notes

• Local placements are accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Drug screen must be negative for all panels
• Requested time off and the last four digits of SSN are needed for submission
• Middle initial is required for submission
