Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position in Kansas City, Missouri. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with complex conditions requiring close monitoring. The position offers night shifts and requires a minimum of 2 years of experience, including previous charge and teaching hospital experience preferred.
Job Details
- Location: Kansas City, MO
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; 2 years of relevant experience including charge nurse roles; experience with telemetry, post-cardiac, and stroke patients; proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; experience working in MS/Tele, Neuro Stepdown, and Cardiac Care settings; current license required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge and teaching hospital experience, charting system experience with Epic preferred, community hospital experience, and travel experience.
- Additional Information: Open to accommodating block schedule; float within scope to meet facility needs, including care for inpatient holds across MSI units; no on-call requirement; 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period; facility supports interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and social services; COVID-19 vaccination not required, flu vaccination required with exemptions only; compliance and onboarding deadlines apply.
