Job Summary
The organization is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in the Maryland area. This position involves providing specialized care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including those with complex cardiac diagnoses, vascular procedures, and thoracic surgeries. The RN will work a 12-hour day shift, supporting a team dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU OH) RN
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, Days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications: Active Maryland RN license, ACLS, BLS required
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of ICU experience, state RN licensure, ACLS, BLS, and experience with arterial line management, ventilated patient care, central line management, post-cardiac surgery care, and advanced cardiovascular monitoring
• Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of charge experience, experience with Epic charting system, trauma level II experience, community hospital experience, previous travel experience
• Additional Information: Floating to sister units and lower acuity areas as needed; every other weekend and holiday shifts required; orientation hours to be determined; immediate post-op cardiac care with 1:1 staffing for first 12 hours; patient census typically around 6; interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, pharmacy, and transportation.
• Travel Policies: Candidates must be comfortable floating without restrictions, accept assignments without an interview, and meet local rule requirements with perm addresses at least 50 miles away.
