Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room (ER) care at a prominent medical facility. This 13-week assignment involves providing specialized nursing care in a high-volume adult emergency department, with a focus on trauma and critical care. The position offers the opportunity to work within a nationally recognized academic medical center and build an outstanding resume.
Job Details:
- Location: GAINESVILLE, FL
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: 36 Hours per Week, with variable days, weekends, and holidays
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Certifications & Licensure: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, Florida RN License or Compact RN License at time of submission.
- Additional Requirements: Recent EPIC electronic medical record experience clearly listed in submission packet. No employment gaps greater than 30 days without explanation. Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience, including recent experience at an academic medical center or Level I/II Trauma Center.
- Preferred Qualifications: TNCC certification.
- Experience & Education: Minimum 3 years of emergency nursing experience; recent work in trauma center (Level I or II) preferred.
- Certification Testing: All new RN hires must successfully complete specialty-specific competency exam and EKG exam, including rhythm mapping and interpretation, with minimum scores of 80%. Identification of lethal rhythms is mandatory.
- Interview Process: Unit manager interview required.
- Additional notes: Must be open to floating; flexibility is essential. No RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks; maximum of 10 days of RTO for full duration.
