Description
Job Summary:
Charlotte, North Carolina Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) position in a large, non-trauma teaching hospital. The role involves supporting various surgical specialties in a busy operating room environment. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth surgical procedures across multiple disciplines.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts with a 40-hour minimum per week, including potential weekend rotations and holiday work as needed.
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification, completed accredited Surgical Technology program, North Carolina licensure or certification, minimum of 2 years of operating room experience in relevant specialties, and at least 18 years of age.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiothoracic, vascular, robotic, GYN, colon, breast, spine, podiatry, and plastic surgery cases, with recent and strong vascular case experience.
- Support within the Department: OR Assistant support during weekdays for room turnovers, stocking, patient positioning, and operating surgical tables; additional roles include reception and anesthesia support.
- Technology/Equipment: EPIC electronic medical record system, Phillips monitors, Omnicell medication dispensing, Alaris IV pumps, Alaris alarms, and other modern surgical equipment.
- Orientation: One week for main operating room, two weeks for cardiothoracic (CVOR); orientation scheduled as five 8-hour shifts.
- Additional Notes: Scrub color is provided; free parking is available.
