Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical - Cardiac at a healthcare facility located in Joplin, Missouri. This position involves providing patient care on a surgical cardiac floor, utilizing the nursing process to deliver compassionate and effective treatment. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and ensuring adherence to hospital standards. The assignment is scheduled to begin on August 24, 2026.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, 2+ years of nursing experience, current in flu vaccination (from November 1 to April 1), must float as needed, utilization of EPIC electronic medical record system, and experience in Med Surg - Cardiac.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing post-cardiac surgery, cardiac, and general medical patients; patient-focused team player.
• Additional Information: The unit primarily cares for post-cardiac surgery, cardiac, and general medical patients. The position involves working at least one major holiday per year, with a standard expectation of every other full weekend unless otherwise arranged. The contract duration is up to 26 weeks, with options for extension, and candidates may request time off up to five days every 13 weeks with management approval.
