Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room First Assistant in Asheville, North Carolina. This position involves supporting surgeons during a variety of complex procedures including orthopedic trauma, neuro, spine, gynecology, robotics, vascular, pediatric, ENT, plastics, podiatry, oral maxillofacial, dental, and eye trauma. The role requires advanced surgical assistance skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic operating room environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift with 10-hour shifts, a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as CSTFA, CFA, or RNFA; appropriate educational background; able to assist with procedures in orthopedics, neuro, spine, gynecology, robotics, vascular, pediatrics, ENT, plastics, podiatry, oral maxillofacial, dental, and eye trauma; flexibility to work call when required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting surgeries involving robotic systems such as Da Vinci, Mako, or Velys Robots; familiarity with Cerner documentation system; strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Additional Information: The candidate will assist the surgical team in a high-volume operating room with advanced equipment including Da Vinci Robots, Mako, and Velys Robots. The unit has a patient ratio of 1:1, staffed with skilled professionals and modern technology. Scrubs provided; a flexible scheduling environment and supportive team culture are noteworthy.
