Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) on the Medical Surgical Floor in Salida, Colorado. This position involves providing high-quality acute patient care in a scenic and welcoming environment. The role supports patient evaluation, health education, treatment, and care documentation to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The schedule includes night shifts with every other weekend commitment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week, totaling 36 hours per week. Schedule will include every other weekend.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of an Associates Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. One year of experience is required. Must maintain current, active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado. Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred.
• Essential Duties:
  • Directly provides acute and swing bed patient care following evidence-based standards.
  • Evaluates health status through collection and assessment of health data.
  • Offers health teaching and counseling.
  • Provides therapy and treatment supportive of patient well-being, either directly or through consultation, delegation, or supervision.
  • Executes delegated medical functions.
  • Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
  • Documents all assessment, interventions, teaching, and care coordination efforts accurately and timely in the medical record.
  • Collaborates with ancillary departments and physician providers to address the medical, social, and spiritual needs of patients in a culturally and age-appropriate manner.
