Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse is needed in a healthcare setting located in Lubbock, Texas. This role involves working in a dynamic surgical environment, providing patient care before, during, and after procedures. The position requires adaptability to floating between units and provides opportunities to work on specialized surgical cases. The assignment begins on 09/08/2026, with a standard shift schedule.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); relevant experience in operating room procedures; schooling/education matching the role requirements; located within the United States; minimum of 1 year of experience as an OR nurse.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Ortho Mako surgical procedures, gynecological surgeries, sports medicine, or total joint replacements; prior OR charge experience; familiarity with Epic charting system; experience in a community hospital setting; trauma level I or II experience preferred.
  • Special Requirements: Experience with abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, blood product administration, spine and joint surgeries, use of Mako Surgical System, and adherence to sterile procedures.
  • Additional Information: The role includes floating between units based on operational needs, weekday night, weekend, and holiday on-call responsibilities, and interaction with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and transportation services. Candidates are required to have two references covering at least one year within the last three years and must respond to specific pre-screening questions regarding previous employment at a Providence facility and willingness to float.
