Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Oncology at a medical surgical oncology floor in Houston, Texas. The position involves providing specialized nursing care to oncology patients, including chemotherapy and biotherapy administration, within an inpatient medical surgical setting. The RN will support patient assessments, treatments, and care coordination to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Location: Houston, TX
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license for Texas or multistate licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Oncology Certified (ONC), certification as an Oncology Nurse (must be able to administer chemotherapy and biotherapy), minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience on an oncology floor
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The contract RN is needed specifically for the inpatient medical surgical oncology unit and must have current certification to administer chemotherapy. RNs without oncology certification are not eligible for this position.
