Description
Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse position in Salinas, California. This role involves assessing, monitoring, and providing specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The nurse will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective recovery, while adhering to departmental policies and procedures. The position requires the ability to adjust care based on patient needs across diverse patient populations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associates of Science in Nursing (ASN), licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of California, current BLS/Healthcare Provider status per American Heart Association standards, and EPIC experience of at least six (6) months within the past year.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner certification, and more than one (1) year of clinical Registered Nurse experience in specialty areas such as PACU.
- Additional Information: Candidates should demonstrate strong assessment and patient teaching skills, and proficiency in care planning, discharge planning, physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual patient care, conflict resolution, teamwork, and safety compliance. Flexibility in hospital activities and experience in clinical nursing in specialty areas are highly valued. The role may require acting as a preceptor or charge nurse as assigned.
