Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Augusta, Georgia. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced ER environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing common ED procedures, assisting with trauma and acute patient care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Must possess at least 2 years of experience in emergency nursing, with certifications including TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale). Must be comfortable performing ED procedures such as IV insertion, Foley catheter placement, NG tube insertion, and assisting with various emergency department interventions.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Level II trauma center, familiarity with primary stroke care, and proficiency in using cardiac monitors and point-of-care labs. Positive, team-oriented attitudes and flexibility are highly valued.
  • Additional Information: The unit is a newly built, state-of-the-art facility equipped with all new medical technology, including bi-pap and ventilator equipment. Staff members have opportunities to develop new skills and participate in building a fully staffed emergency department team. Candidates should be prepared to work every other weekend and may have the opportunity to float to the main emergency department as needed.
