Description

Job Summary:
Home Health Care RN position located in Portland, Maine. This role involves providing comprehensive in-home nursing services to adult patients across various medical specialties. The position offers a day shift, with scheduled hours from 0800 to 1700, and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with flexible options for weekend rotations or permanent schedules.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift, 0800-1700, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS); at least 2 years of experience; educational requirements include relevant RN licensure; located within the service area in Portland, Maine.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic and OASIS systems, along with skills in IV therapy, tube feeds, VAC dressings, compression wraps, port access, ostomies, chest tubes, S/P catheters, and lab draws.
  • Float: Float rotation not required.
  • Additional Information:
    • Responsible for managing 20-25 adult patients, with an expectation of 5-6 visits daily.
    • Utilizes assigned equipment, including a lap top, I phone, nursing supply bin, and medical devices such as INR machine.
    • EMR system used is EPIC.
    • Call requirements include being on call for after-hours visits 2-4 times a month, with notification by 1700 if an extra visit is needed. No overnight call.
    • Environment involves providing care to adult patients with diverse medical needs, emphasizing organization, collaboration, effective communication, and good documentation skills.
