Description

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) specialty position in Tyler, TX. This role involves working with adult and geriatric patient populations in a 36-bed medical surgical unit. The position requires providing comprehensive patient care in a busy hospital environment, emphasizing telemetry monitoring and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS); experience with accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, CVA management, ER holding, feeding tube care, Heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), arterial blood gases (ABGs) interpretation, dysrhythmias interpretation, isolation precautions/PPE, management of cardiac drips, MS/Tele, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, post myocardial infarction (MI), pre/post cardiac catheterization, pre/post cardiac surgery, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, spinal cord injury, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, telemetry, remote telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care/management, rapid response/code team use, wound care/vac unit.
  • Education and Experience: No minimum experience required, but 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Location requirements: State or Compact license must be in hand at the time of submittal; no license hit accepted.
  • Community Hospital Experience: Not specified
  • LTAC and Trauma Level experience: Not required or preferred
  • Additional information: Onboarding must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; modules are non-billable and completed onsite during orientation.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to units of equal acuity.
