Job Summary:
The healthcare provider is seeking a Surgical Technician for a day shift position in Lafayette, Colorado. The Surgical Technician will perform various duties as a vital member of the surgical team to ensure safe and successful operative procedures. Under supervision, the Technician will support system-wide surgical operations and actively participate in the surgical safety plan, maintaining sterile fields, preparing operating rooms, and assisting during surgeries.

Job Details:

• Certifications & Education: Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program or graduation from a non-accredited surgical tech program within the past six months (not eligible for Tech in Surgery exam), or two (2) years of scrub tech experience in hospital/military surgical services within the last three (3) years.
• Licenses & Certifications: DORA (Colorado License) required; NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist or Certified Surgical Technologist certification required; BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications and licensure as specified; at least 1 year of clinical surgical tech experience, including cardiac experience; two (2) years of scrub tech experience in hospital or military settings within the last three (3) years.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Additional Information: The role involves maintaining sterilization standards, handling sharps and fire safety procedures, assisting surgeons during procedures, responding to emergencies, and supporting sterile processing tasks. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of sterile field management, environmental safety, and surgical support skills in a hospital environment.
