A telemetry nurse is a specialized registered nurse responsible for continuously monitoring a patient's vital signs and heart rhythms using automated equipment such as electrocardiograms (EKGs). This role involves caring for acutely ill patients, often those who are stepping down from intensive care, requiring close observation for heart disease or other critical conditions. The position is located in Lansing, Michigan, and is ideal for a healthcare professional with relevant telemetry experience and training.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights (12-hour shifts), minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of registered nurse (RN) telemetry experience, NIH stroke training, NIHSS certification, and ACLS certification
- Preferred Qualifications: BLS (AHA) certification
- Certifications: BLS (AHA)
- State Licenses: Michigan license required
