Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position is available in a medical facility in Plano, Texas. This role involves providing specialized care for premature and critically ill newborns in a high-acuity environment. The position requires delivering expert neonatal care while adhering to unit policies and caring for a diverse patient population.

Job Details

  • Location: Plano, Texas, 3901 W 15th Street
  • Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
  • Schedule: Nights, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Start Date: 08/17/2026
  • Number of Positions: 2
  • Required Qualifications: Certified Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), new graduates considered with 0 years of experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Level II-III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, Level III-IV NICU experience preferred
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4 (rare)
  • Unit Details:
    • Number of Beds: 41
    • Staff: Over 60 nurses, including charge nurses on day and night shifts
    • Equipment: High-frequency oscillatory ventilators, central lines, conventional vents, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV), ostomy care tools, electronic medical records (EMR) systems including CPN and Meditech
  • Procedures and Care: Surgery (except heads/hearts), respiratory support, micro preemie care
  • Personality Fit: Teamwork oriented
  • Dress Code: Scrubs in royal blue
  • Additional Information:
    • No weekends or on-call required
    • Floating area: Nursery
