Job Summary:
Emergency Room RN Grass Valley, California. This role involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care within a busy emergency department. The position requires flexibility to work night shifts, with a focus on stabilizing and transferring patients with a variety of conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, strokes, and common illnesses.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications; minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience; California RN license or license eligible.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to interpret EKG strips and work in a fast-paced ED environment.
• Additional Information: Unit notes indicate a need for two supervisor references, one within 12 months and another within three years. Must complete a Basic Dysrhythmia Exam through Relias within 24-48 hours of acceptance. Orientation is held in Sacramento during the first week; hospital-specific orientation lasts 1-2 days with a preceptor. Self-scheduling allows access to schedules up to 4 weeks in advance, with options to trade shifts and volunteer for extra shifts. Standard ED patient population includes trauma, strokes, MI, common cold, and other medical-surgical diagnoses.
