Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery specialty position is located in McAllen, Texas. This role involves working within a dedicated Labor and Delivery unit, supporting the care of laboring patients and assisting in cesarean sections. It offers a full-time schedule with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on August 31, 2026.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications, experience in Labor and Delivery, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior L&D experience is beneficial
• Typical Procedures Performed: Laboring patients, assisting in Cesarean sections

  • Address: 101 East Ridge Road, 3rd Floor, Labor & Delivery Building
  • Number of Beds: 14 in Labor & Delivery, 9 Antepartum beds
  • Staff: 33 (including RN and CST)
  • Patient Ratios: Final Stage or C-Section 1:1, Antepartum 1:4
  • Equipment: Operating Room, Fetal Heart Monitors, Ultrasound
  • EMR System: Meditech
• Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs
• Unit Policies: Women Labor and Delivery related policies, including weekend and on-call rotation (weekends and on-call schedule upon flexing)
