Description
Job Summary:
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular in Baltimore, MD. The position involves providing specialized care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, ventricular assist device placement, and other complex procedures in a dedicated cardiovascular surgical intensive care unit.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026.
- Required Qualifications: RN License; BLS certification; current experience with recovery of post-op cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting, including Vent, CRRT, Swan, Epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive gtts titration, level 1 IABP, ECMO;**
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification; Critical Care Certification, trauma course, EPIC certification.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit has 18 beds and provides care for patients recovering from complex cardiac and thoracic procedures. Nurse/patient ratio is typically 1:1 or 1:2. Candidates with previous employment in any capacity within a Johns Hopkins facility must have been away for at least one full year before applying as a traveler. All candidates should verify prior employment in the system before submission.
