Job Summary
The labor and delivery department nurse position is located in a healthcare facility in Oklahoma City. This role involves providing specialized care to obstetric and neonatal patients, supporting the delivery process, and ensuring patient safety. The position is suitable for candidates with experience in labor and delivery and a passion for maternal and infant health.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, C-EFM, NRP certifications; 2+ years of labor experience at a hospital that delivers 350-400 monthly; licensed registered nurse (RN) in the state of Oklahoma
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS, PALS certifications
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The unit has 15 labor beds, with 7 antepartum beds and 4 pre/postpartum beds. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:1 or 2:1. Equipment includes external fetal monitoring devices. Electronic medical records are maintained through an EPIC system.
