Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Float Nurse position in Albany, New York. This role requires extensive experience in trauma and ICU settings, with proficiency in caring for patients across neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ICU/PCC environments. The position offers night shifts, with a schedule of 12 hours per shift, and a minimum of 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess previous travel experience and demonstrate competency in critical care nursing.

Job Details:

• Location: Albany, NY
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • LICENSURE: Active RN license in New York or pending licensure review
  • CERTIFICATIONS: BLS (Basic Life Support); ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) highly preferred
  • Experience: Previous travel experience required; experience in level I trauma centers and floating across multiple ICU environments highly desired
  • Skills: Competency in ICU patient care across neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ICU/PCCU in the emergency department and post-anesthesia care units
  • Additional Requirements: Must have recent ICU experience and be comfortable managing diverse critical care cases
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Ability to quickly adapt to various ICU settings with minimal supervision
• Additional Information:
  • Competency test required within 24 hours of submission, sent via email
  • Full availability for the schedule as outlined
  • Willing to review clinicians with pending state licenses or licensing gaps
