Description

Job Summary:
Labor And Delivery Department Nurse in Santa Rosa, California. This role involves providing professional nursing care for patients in the labor and delivery unit. The nurse will independently utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, compassionate, and effective care to a diverse patient population, demonstrating age-specific competencies. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, with potential supervision of other staff members.

Job Details:

Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours shift time, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid California registered nurse license; certification in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN); minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in labor and delivery nursing; location requirement in California
Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience; experience in community hospital settings and with high-acuity patients; familiarity with Epic charting system
Additional Information: The position involves caring for neonatal and adult patient age groups within a unit that supports interdisciplinary services such as respiratory therapy, interpretation services, social services, lift teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and transportation. The unit has approximately 10 beds and is equipped for special procedures and equipment specific to obstetric and neonatal care.
