Job Summary:
Emergency Room Pediatric (ER PEDS) Nurse in Palo Alto, California. This role involves providing high-quality, evidence-based care to pediatric patients within the scope of practice defined by the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory standards, and hospital policies. The ER PEDS Nurse collaborates with the healthcare team, families, and patients to deliver family-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: CA-Registered Nurse (RN) license; current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in pediatric emergency care or pediatric units preferred.
- Additional Information: The ER PEDS Nurse will assess and manage pediatric patients, collaborate with the care team to develop individualized treatment plans, and provide education to patients and families. The role requires rapid problem-solving and emergency response skills, with opportunities to participate in unit programs, team meetings, and professional development initiatives.
