Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Pediatric (ER PEDS) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Palo Alto, California. The ER PEDS RN provides compassionate, evidence-based care to pediatric patients in a busy emergency setting. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating with families and multidisciplinary team members to deliver family-centered healthcare.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift hours, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (CA-RN) license; current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers; 0-2 years related experience in a computerized accounting environment; ability to communicate effectively in English
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in emergency pediatric nursing, pediatric advanced life support (PALS), electronic medical records familiarity
- Additional Information: The RN will create a healing environment through patient and family presence, emotional support, and education. Responsibilities include obtaining accurate assessment data, developing patient-specific care plans, implementing interventions, emergency protocol activation, and contributing to team and professional development. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, along with a commitment to lifelong learning.
