Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Los Alamos, New Mexico. This role involves providing surgical nursing care in a 3-operating room surgical unit that serves patients of all ages. The position requires adherence to hospital protocols and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and quality care during procedures.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification/licensure required to work as an RN in New Mexico; 2+ years of OR experience; at least 1 year of experience in surgical nursing; must be a licensed RN in the state of New Mexico.
- Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience is a plus but not required.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Orientation is weekly, on Mondays. Candidates must be at least 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered. All clinical staff on assignment in New Mexico must be fingerprinted prior to hire and provide documentation that the check is being processed. A background check is required, and the OR team serves patients of all ages in a facility with 3 ORs, 3 PACU, and 5 preoperative beds. The department maintains a patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2.
