Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) for a position located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This position involves providing patient care on a Neuro Medical Surgical floor, with a focus on adult patient populations. Job Details:

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Floor (Neuro Medical Surgical)
• Location: Johnstown, PA
• Shift: Night shift (12-hour shifts) with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Start Date: 09/08/2026
• Experience: No minimum years of experience required; candidates should have basic clinical competency.
• Qualifications: Certification in NIH (National Institutes of Health) and Swallow Screen preferred. Must be competent in recognizing and managing cardiac dysrhythmias; may be required to take a dysrhythmia and math dosage test during orientation.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours shift length, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional notes: Regular participation during holidays and a competency in dysrhythmia management are required. Facility will provide necessary education during orientation to ensure clinical competence.
• Unit Information:
  • Number of beds: 22
  • Patient ratios: 5:1 or 6:1
  • Equipment: Mindray vital sign machines, GE EKG, cardiac monitors
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR): EPIC
  • Supervisor: Stephanie Nolan, MSN, RN
  • Typical diagnoses include CVA, TIA, seizure activity, urinary and respiratory conditions, with occasional cardiac cases.
• Dress Code: Scrubs (any color); unacceptable attire includes hoodies, t-shirts, shirts with wording/pics, and facial piercings.
• Floats: Float rotation may be required in rare cases.
