Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) role located in Oakland, CA. This position involves managing patient care on a medical-surgical unit specializing in telemetry monitoring. The RN will be responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and comprehensive care from admission through discharge, responding effectively to medical and environmental emergencies, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Shifts are days, with 8 hours per shift and a minimum of 40 hours per week. The assignment begins on 09/14/2026.
• Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience, including 5 years of patient ratio experience, and 5 years of charting system experience (preferably Epic).
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: May float to other units within scope of practice; float rotation to different units or campuses may be required with a 1.5-hour notice. A shuttle service is available if floating is requested.
• Additional Information: The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. The daily census is 25, with 30 beds on the unit. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary. The unit cares for various patient diagnoses and performs specialized procedures and uses specific equipment accordingly.
