Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) with telemetry experience in Oakland, California. This role involves managing patient care for adult and geriatric populations, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective treatment from admission to discharge. The RN will respond to emergencies and work within established policies and procedures, providing compassionate and competent nursing services.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, at least 2 years of nursing experience including some charge nurse experience, proficiency with Epic charting system, and ability to float to other units within scope of practice as needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community hospital settings, LTAC (Long Term Acute Care) experience, trauma level II experience, and travel experience.
• Float: May float to other units within scope of practice depending on need and census; float to alternate campuses may be required with notice of approximately 1.5 hours prior to shift start.
• Additional Information: Travel nurses should be flexible with floating across various campuses and within the hospital as needed. Orientation hours are 12.
• Location: 350 Hawthorn Avenue, Oakland, California, 94609.
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics with daily census of approximately 25 patients in a 30-bed unit.
