Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Madison, WI. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a fast-paced, Level I Trauma Center environment. The role requires expertise in telemetry, ventilator management, and transplant care, serving acutely ill adult patients with complex medical conditions. The assignment offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team in a nationally recognized Magnet-designated hospital.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, Monday through Friday, including every other weekend and some holidays.
- Required Qualifications: WI RN license or compact RN license, 2 years of recent acute care experience, including telemetry, vent, and transplant experience, BLS & ACLS certification from the American Heart Association, completion of telemetry test prior to start.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an academic Level I or II trauma center, MS/Tele interpretation skills, and strong proficiency in vent and transplant procedures.
- Additional Information: Travelers must pass a telemetry interpretation exam in two attempts; the exam includes identification of lethal rhythms with a passing score of 80% or higher. The role requires float flexibility, with the traveler floating as needed. The assignment duration is from 09/28/2026 to 12/28/2026.
