Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Oncology Floor specialty position is based in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves providing specialized care in an outpatient ambulatory setting, specifically focusing on chemotherapy administration for adult patients. The selected candidate will work in a busy treatment area, delivering chemotherapy in a scheduled Monday through Friday environment, with no holidays or weekend shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts nursing license at the time of submission; chemotherapy certification; at least 2 years of oncology experience; ambulatory setting experience; flu vaccination (medical exemptions only); working in an outpatient ambulatory environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: This position requires working in a treatment area providing chemotherapy to adult patients. Orientation occurs weekly every Monday, barring holidays. The organization expects the candidate to be available for interview and provide available dates and times at the time of application. Candidates who have worked for the organization as permanent or per diem staff within the last year will not be considered unless separated for at least one year. Parking costs can reach up to $43 per day in some cases.
