Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This role involves providing advanced patient care in a 16-bed ICU/CCU unit, handling complex procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position is scheduled for night shifts, offering a dynamic and team-oriented environment that emphasizes critical thinking and self-motivation.
Job Details:
- Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIH (National Institutes of Health) certification, ability to perform procedures such as central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions, at least 1 year of ICU experience, critical thinking skills, self-motivated
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advanced monitoring equipment such as Impella, GE monitors, Temporary Pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, Hemodynamic monitoring; familiarity with Meditech documentation system; team player with excellent communication skills
- Additional Information: The ICU unit features modern equipment and technology, a supportive team environment, and a flexible scheduling policy. There is a focus on patient-centered care with hospital-specific guidelines and policies. Staffing includes unit secretaries and technicians depending on census, with the potential for float rotation as part of the staffing model.
