Description
Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Long Beach, California. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within a busy diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization unit. The RN will support a variety of complex procedures and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 0 years of minimum experience, California nursing license in hand, current ACLS and BLS certifications, experience or training in electronic health records systems, including Epic and Sensis Hemodynamic.
- Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year experience in a cardiac catheterization lab, ICU, or emergency room setting.
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS certifications required; CCRN preferred.
- Position Responsibilities: Provide nursing care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including AICD placements, ASD closures, IABP insertions, Impella support, TAVR procedures, and Watchman device implementations. Monitor arterial lines, perform arrhythmia induction, and assist with complex cardiac interventions.
- Team and Environment: Work within a multidisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Support adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations with a variety of cardiac conditions.
- Schedule details: Self-scheduling with approximately 6-7 days of on-call per month, including weekend coverage as needed. Orientation involves approximately 8-14 hours of Epic training plus additional hours for specialized modules.
- Additional Information: Candidates will be expected to float within the hospital based on census. RTO (Request Time off) must be presented at the time of submission, and California license is required. Attach Nursys verification pulled within 2 weeks and provide at least one reference within the past 2 years.
