Postpartum Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a regional medical center situated in Somerset, Kentucky. This role involves providing specialized nursing care on a trauma-level postpartum unit, focusing on new mothers and their babies. The position offers a weekly orientation session and requires dedicated healthcare professionals committed to delivering quality patient care in a state-of-the-art facility.

Job Details

• Location: Somerset, KY
• Start Date: 09/08/2026
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification; at least 2 years of nursing experience; ability to work nights and weekends; location in Kentucky or willing to relocate.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in postpartum or Mother/Baby units, familiarity with Meditech or GE Centricity electronic health records, strong clinical skills in postpartum care, and ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team.
• Additional Information: This unit handles up to 22 beds with a patient ratio of up to 1:6. The floor focuses on postpartum and mother/baby care, emphasizing a compassionate approach tailored to new mothers and their infants. Personalities suited to a fast-paced, nurturing environment are preferred.
