A Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a behavioral health unit located in Holyoke, Massachusetts. This facility features a state-of-the-art three-year-old unit with experienced staff and an excellent work environment. The role involves providing compassionate, trauma-informed care to adult patients with various mental health diagnoses, with bi-weekly orientation sessions and work schedule during daytime hours.

Job Details:

• Location: Holyoke, MA 01040
• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health / Psychiatric Unit
• Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 09/01/2026
• Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts state license, BLS (AHA) certification, Handle with Care (HWC) training (can be completed on site), minimum of 3 years of experience working with mental health patients in a locked setting, ability to pass medications utilizing Omni Cell.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult patients with diagnoses including bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, major depression, substance abuse, chronic medical conditions such as diabetics, hypertension, COPD; trauma-informed practice; compassionate care approach; flexible and adaptable to changing patient needs; confident in communication skills.
• Additional Information: The unit has a capacity of 46 beds, with patient ratios of 1:9 RN, utilizing equipment like POC blood glucose meters. The team includes psychiatrists, social workers, rehab staff, and full medical support. Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Tuesdays.
