Job Summary
Telemetry Nurse, Tyler, TX This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a telemetry unit. The role focuses on monitoring cardiac patients with complex needs, utilizing advanced telemetry equipment, and supporting interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); valid state license; no minimum experience required (0.0 years minimum)
- Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of telemetry nursing experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information:
- Responds to patients with cardiac diagnoses, including post-cardiac intervention care.
- Monitors cardiac telemetry to detect arrhythmias and other abnormalities.
- Administers medications and manages IV lines, arterial lines, and other invasive procedures.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members such as respiratory therapists, social workers, and radiology staff.
- Completes orientation with a minimum of 16 hours, including onsite modules completed during orientation.
