Job Summary:
The facility is seeking a Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse for a night shift position located in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The role involves working on a unit that primarily handles post-surgical, orthopedic, med-surg, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end-of-life care, and low-volume inpatient chemotherapy patients. The position requires adapting to unit-specific protocols, including remote telemonitoring, and managing a diverse patient population in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

• Shift: Night shift, 12-hour hours, with weekends scheduled as needed.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license in the state of Pennsylvania, BLS certification; minimum of 2 years' experience as a registered nurse on a medical-surgical unit.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing patients on BiPAP, Cpap, high flow oxygen, or requiring remote telemonitoring, and comfort working with both 'clean' and 'dirty' COVID-19 designated patients.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other medical-surgical units.
• Additional Information: The unit operates with a ratio of approximately 1:6-7 nurses and has a clinical manager available Monday through Saturday, acting as both charge nurse and nurse manager. Staff are authorized to self-schedule and use blocked schedules to meet unit needs. Patient care includes managing vents like BiPAP and Cpap, with no cardiac gtts or drains. The team handles post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative, hospice, and chemotherapy patients, with a specific focus on COVID-19 designated units. Dress code includes navy blue scrubs and jackets, with remote telemonitoring managed off-site. Orientation includes a single shift with a preceptor.
