Job Summary
The organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU MEDICAL) for a Night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center. The role involves providing specialized care to adult patients in a 20-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), with floating assignments to Med Surg units as needed. The RN will be responsible for managing high-acuity patients, including conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, and cardiac emergencies, while adhering to established protocols and ensuring excellent patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/04/2026
• End Date: 01/02/2027
• Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse License; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; 2+ years of Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience, preferably in a Medical ICU; at least 2 years of continuous work experience in a single location; telemetry competency; ability to read tele-stips and handle high-acuity patient care; experience floating between units, primarily Medical/Surgical units.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Level III Trauma Center ICU setting.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units, with a patient load of up to 4-5 patients when floated.
• Additional Information: The unit is a 20-bed adult MICU caring for patients with diverse diagnoses including substance overdose, psychiatric conditions, sepsis, respiratory failure, and more. The unit operates 24 hours daily with attending physicians and residents present around the clock. The EMR system used is EPIC. The unit demands a high level of telemetry competency and the ability to manage complex, high-acuity cases.
