Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU MEDICAL) registered nurse position in a Level III Trauma Center's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with floating requirements. The role involves providing specialized care for adult patients with complex medical conditions, including severe psychiatric conditions, sepsis, respiratory failure, and cardiac events. The position requires working night shifts, with the potential for rotation to other shifts as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts RN license; 2+ years of adult ICU experience; 2+ years of continuous work experience in one location, preferably in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU); telemetry competency required; BLS and ACLS certifications accepted from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system; familiarity with adult critical care procedures and telemetry monitoring
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The ICU has 20 beds and cares for adult patients with diagnoses such as substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock. Staffing ratios range from 1:1 to 1:5 depending on acuity and floating assignments. Attendings and residents are present 24 hours/day, and the unit teams work collaboratively to provide high-quality care.
