Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse for a position in Puyallup, Washington. The role involves providing advanced patient care to critically ill patients across various units, including trauma, medical, surgical, and rehabilitation floors. The ICU RN will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing specialized skills to manage complex cases and support patient recovery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid ICU license, ACLS certification, BLS certification, NIHSS certification, experience working in an ICU setting for at least 2 years, and proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent management, invasive line management, and IV medication titration
- Preferred Qualifications: EPIC experience; strong communication and patient education skills
- Float: Float rotation may be required within scope of practice
- Additional Information: The primary unit will involve working as an ACLS-certified RN in a fast-paced environment with a patient ratio of approximately 1:2 based on acuity. The RN will transport patients hospital-wide and assist in various operational tasks. Orientation includes 2 days of hospital and 1 day of unit-specific training.
