Job Summary
Operating Room First Assistant (ORFA) at a healthcare facility in Crescent City, California. Job Details

• Schedule: Days shifts, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS, BLS, CNOR, PALS certifications; 5+ years of experience in operating room settings; experience with Abdominal hysterectomy, Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Gynecologic robotic surgery, Total hip and knee replacements, and other listed procedures; experience in acute hospital operating rooms, trauma level II experience preferred; community hospital experience required; travel experience required; proficiency with Epic charting system preferred; previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience, trauma level I experience, experience with robotic surgeries including Da Vinci and VATS.
• Additional Information: The role requires participation in ongoing professional development, adherence to hospital policies and industry standards, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized patient care. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the surgical procedures listed and ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
