Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) at a healthcare facility in Atlanta, Georgia. This position involves providing care on a complex medical surgical unit with a focus on research and medically complex patients. The role includes participating in a research study involving healthy patients receiving influenza challenges and monitoring for symptoms.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher, at least 1 year of clinical experience in a medical-surgical setting, experience with Electronic Health Record systems, work in Atlanta, Georgia
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong skills in Medical Surgical nursing, experience with Peritoneal Dialysis, competency in managing complicated conditions such as Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)/Pneumonia (PNA), Sepsis, Trachs, Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG), Altered Mental Status (AMS), Pancreatitis, and participation in research studies including influenza challenges
- Additional Information: This position involves research activities on a designated research unit for approximately 14 days each month, with the remaining days dedicated to providing care for complex medical patients. The clinical responsibilities include managing complicated infections, chronic conditions, and research protocols.
