Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse opportunity in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role offers night shifts with flexible options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Experienced obstetric nurses adept at managing high-risk deliveries, fetal monitoring, and obstetrical patient care are encouraged to apply. The position is suitable for both seasoned professionals and first-time travelers.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), American Womens Health & Obstetric Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (pending certifications are acceptable).
• Skills: Antepartum, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, assist with high-risk delivery, assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for cesarean section, manage patients with facility birth volume of 100-200 per month, insulin drips, isolation precautions/PPE, labor and delivery, maintain central lines (CVC / PICC), recover cesarean sections, sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, use of External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM).
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates and Adults.
• Interdisciplinary Support: Respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, unit secretary.
• Additional Information: This role involves managing high-volume obstetrical patients, with a focus on patient safety and high-quality care delivery. Orientation and onsite module training are provided. Floating to similar units may be required as needed.
